(A state beach near San Clemente with two campgrounds: San Mateo Campground and San Onofre Bluff.
The San Mateo section is inland about 1.5 miles. It has 100 RV/tent sites with electric & water
hookup but no sewer. San Onofre Bluff section has 104 sites near pavement with no hookups. It also
has 22 tent camping sites under nearby Echo Arch, a low coastal bluff just a few yards from the beach.
Its walls form the amphitheater that gives Echo Arch its name and is set off from the rest of the state beach.
The three-mile-long beach is north neighbor to Camp Pendelton. Swimming, skin diving, & surfing.)
