We’ve designed a new rocker patch, to distinguish members of Pathfinders!
The patch is designed to fit over the Native Sons and Daughters Programs® path. It is fully embroidered in distinctive black, green, and non-metallic gold colors. The patches are available upon request for all registered first year members of NSD Pathfinders℠. Contact the National Chief at nationalchief@nationallonghouse.org.
Today, we’re introducing a new community contribution section on the National Longhouse web site: Our Stories. In Our Stories, we will showcase articles showing how Longhouses across the country stay active with tribe outings, campouts, and special events. We can all share and learn more about how other Longhouses participate in this wonderful program. Maybe this will help spark some new ideas too.
If you have an event you’d like to share, you’ll just have to send us some photos and a short article talking about your event. To get started, contact us first using the “Content Contribution” link here.
The National Longhouse Community Service Project guidelines have been revised to permit awards to be distributed year-round with no specific deadline to submit forms. This project is an opportunity for all membership (Longhouses and/or Tribes) to participate in community service works and earn national recognition for their efforts.
If you need ideas, craft supplies, patches, vests, or derby car kits, take a look at our vendor directory first. If there are vendors you use in your local longhouse, please let us know about them by emailing us.
We have uploaded another document as part of the resource/support materials. It is titled “Keeping the Native Indian Theme Alive In Your Program” and contains an outline of topics and ideas to promote and uplift the use of the Native Indian theme within Native Sons and Daughters Programs®.
Greetings to all Native Sons & Daughters Membership!!
